Christmas Craft Fairs

I enjoy browsing and shopping at Christmas Craft fairs. I admire the creativity and patience of crafters young and old. They are amazing. Craft fairs started the first weekend of November and some will continue till the weekend before Christmas.

The biggest craft fair that I have been to this season is the Circle Craft Fair at Vancouver Convention Centre.
Top of the line food and crafts.
Two shops attracted our attention and wallet:

Wildhagen hats.

Precocious Boutique.
The cowl neck sweaters were unique and stylish.

At popular craft fairs here in Maple Ridge I bought christmas cakes and pickled favourites (carrots, green beans, asparagus, etc.). Bought a Christmas apron and the popular crocheted ruffled or boa scarves. I also bought beautiful hats. Warm handmade stylish hats.

Christmas shopping at craft fairs is a great affair !

  1. Glad to see that you are enjoying and buying from local artisans. I enjoy participating in craft fairs and supporting the other artisans as well. Every year there is always somebody new with a new craft. How do people think of innovative ideas and actually put them into production? One thing that puzzles me is the same craft can appear later on in stores (Made in China or elsewhere). I am sure there are scouts who attend craft fairs as well and "steal" these marvelous creative ideas.
Anyway, such is life and somebody has to make a living! Long live Craft Fairs!

    1. There is nothing like hand made articles and home made yummy treats at local craft fairs. I have great admiration for the likes of you and the rest of the local artisans. Most of my stocking stuffers are from craft fairs. I have some retired friends who are active crafters/vendors and there are the retirees like me who belongs to the browsers and shoppers! I bought something special for a friend in China. The only way I can be sure it is made in Canada is to get it from local artisans :)
