I hope I can be the autumn leaf, who looked at the sky and lived. And when it was time to leave, gracefully it knew life was a gift. Picture slideshow created with Smilebox
I came across this lovely Korean song written by a young singer/writer many years ago. I do not know why it was titled "Around thirty....." Here are two versions of the song. First is by Roy Kim with english lyrics. Second is by Jo Seung-woo
"Inside every older person is a younger person - wondering what the hell happened." Its not too late. No regrets. Lets make the most of whatever time we have. For me its seeing a bit more of this world "Travel makes one modest. You see what a small place you occupy in the world. I have not been everywhere but its on my bucket list."
Many years ago I joined a Fan dance group in Vancouver. The instructor taught mostly in Chinese and it took a while to even learn the first few steps. However the group was very friendly and all took turns helping me learn the dance. When I moved to Maple Ridge I found a fan dance group at the Leisure centre. It was a small group of 6 to 8 participants. Again the instructor taught mostly in Chinese. I had to rely on youtube videos to re-learn the steps. Unfortunately the group grew even smaller and it was discontinued. Here are some pictures taken at the Rupert Community Centre in Vancovuer. This picture was taken at Connoly Lodge, Riverview hospital grounds. Our Healthy Lifestyle group topic for the day was Fitness and exercise. The patients had fun trying to open and close the Kung Fu Fan.
2013 was the year that the kids got involved with gardening. Seven years later they still help in the garden. Free photo slideshow personalized with Smilebox

It is now a part of our daily lives. We wear face mask whenever we are not able to physically distance from others. It does not take long to wear one. I made several for family and friends.
My plants has been prolific plus my sisters gave me several of their hens and chicks. I potted and repotted starting April and now I have about 15 plants to share with friends.
Some of my sempervivums came from the original plants I started with eight years ago. They are all prolific. Easy to care for. I enjoy using them for plant arrangements both to keep and to give away. Here are the latest in my collection: This is called Gold Nugget. My first yellow sempervivum. However as the weather turns warmer the leaves will change to green, red in the Fall and back to yellow Winter to Spring. This is another beauty called Berry Blues. Barely a month after I transferred to its new home it produced several chicks. This is Berry Bomb. I prefer to call it Berry Pretty Citrus Sunrise is another attractive semp. From yellow orange color in the winter to early spring it will change to deeper pink to red with tinge of yellow. This is called Strawberry Kiwi. Gave several offsets already. This is called Appletini. Looks very happy in her new home. I used to call this sempervivum spider web hens and chicks. Chick Charms call them Cotton Candy
We went on a 12 days Hawaiian Cruise on the Radiance of the Seas. We enjoyed good weather cruising the Hawaiian islands and crossing the Pacific Ocean as we sailed back to Vancouver. We enjoyed good weather and good company. Customize a slideshow design
